Apple Music pays artists through distributors used for uploading music which means payment is going to differ because of certain aspects like royalty splits between you and your distributor which involves a distribution plan,in some distribution plans you keep all your royalties while in others you keep 80% so research more about those before you jump into using a Music distributing Service.You get paid every stream you get on your song which is basically similar to views in terms of youtube so it all involves having a fanbase.Which means zero streams in your songs means no pay simple as that so you have to work hard.
Spotify
Spotify is similar to Apple Music but has more advantages because you can submit your song to spotify playlists,which can help you increase your fanbase if you songs really slaps which will mean more money for you.Still its difficult when you are just starting out and exhausting especially for independent artists who are not signed to Record Labels because you have to record music,pay for Music distribution and you also have to Market your music at the same time which is really time consuming.But if you invest that time you are going to benefit in the future because there is a lot of money to be made from this like i mentioned before.
